A small piece of Italy in Clerkenwell
I came from Puglia in 1991 with my grandmother's tools in a canvas bag and almost no English. I found a little room off the Farringdon Road, put her files on the wall, and started again.
Thirty-five years later I'm still at that bench. People used to say I'd brought a small piece of Italy to London with me. I think they were right.
I have 376 finished pieces here. I would far rather see them worn than sitting in a drawer.
